- "Tradesman": Refers to an individual or business offering home services listed on the Website.
- "Services": Refers to the home services provided by tradesmen listed on the Website.
- "Platform": Refers to the technology provided by TrustTradie to connect homeowners with tradesmen.
3. Use of the Website
- Users must be at least 18 years old to use the Website.
- By using the Website, you agree to provide accurate and complete information about yourself as required by the registration process.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details, including your username and password.
- You agree to notify TrustTradie immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
4. Service Listings
- Tradesmen may list their services on the Website. All information provided must be accurate, current, and complete.
- TrustTradie reserves the right to remove or modify any listings that are found to be misleading, inappropriate, or in violation of these Terms.
5. Secure Payments
- TrustTradie provides a robust system to ensure secure payment transactions between homeowners and tradesmen.
- Homeowners must deposit payment into the our account before work commences.
- Payment will be released to the tradesman upon successful completion of the service, as agreed between the homeowner and the tradesman.
- Disputes over payments will be handled in accordance with our Dispute Resolution Policy (see Section 8).
6. User Conduct
- Users agree to use the Website solely for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use and enjoyment of the Website by, any other party.
- Users must not use the Website to upload or distribute any illegal content, including but not limited to, defamatory, abusive, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material.
7. Ratings and Reviews
- Homeowners may leave ratings and reviews of tradesmen after services are rendered.
- Reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences.
- TrustTradie reserves the right to remove any reviews that are deemed to be fake, misleading, or inappropriate.
8. Dispute Resolution
- In the event of a dispute between a homeowner and a tradesman, both parties must first attempt to resolve the issue directly.
- If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute may be escalated to TrustTradie for mediation.
- TrustTradie’s decision in disputes regarding payment release is final and binding.
9. Limitation of Liability
- TrustTradie acts only as a platform to connect homeowners and tradesmen. We do not guarantee the quality of the services provided by tradesmen.
- TrustTradie is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of the Website or the services provided by tradesmen.
10. Intellectual Property
- All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of TrustTradie or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws.
- Users may not reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use the content without prior written permission from TrustTradie.
11. Amendments to Terms
- TrustTradie reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the Website, and continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
